Jane A. Andersen received her Doctorate of Psychology in Applied Clinical Psychology in 2018 from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology – Southern California. 

Her doctoral dissertation focused on the forensic study of reducing child abuse among at-risk adolescent males. Dissertation:  “Educational Program for At-Risk Adolescent Males to Reduce the Risk of Child Abuse” 

 

She received her Masters of Arts in Forensic Psychology in 2014 from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology – Southern California.

​Dr. Andersen is a licensed psychologist and certified Clinical Trauma Professional with the state of California, and has experience in forensic and clinical settings. With a background in forensic psychology, she provides assessment and evaluation services to attorneys, parents, and individuals.  In addition, she works in a clinical capacity with adolescents and adults in a compassionate and empathetic environment.

Her clientele includes individuals currently involved in legal issues and individuals seeking clinical psychotherapy. Clients range from adolescents to adults of all ages; pretrial clients and incarcerated clients are also among this population.  Many of the clients receiving psychotherapy include referred clients suffering from acute trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).  Dr. Andersen provides psychological testing and evaluations for individuals, including neuropsychological assessments. Evaluations are utilized to discern appropriate diagnoses and treatment.

Forensic Evaluations 

Forensic psychology bridges the fields of psychology and criminal justice.  Forensic psychologists examine human behavior by observing, questioning, and interpreting how individuals relate to others and how they react to situations.  Assessments are administered to further evaluate forensic clients.  Dr. Andersen’s forensic services include treatment, assessment, and evaluation of children, adolescents and adults.  The population served includes individuals currently involved in legal issues such as personal injury, sexual assault or harassment, psychological trauma, and workers’ comp. Referrals to Dr. Andersen come from attorneys, the community, and other professionals.

Clinical Psychotherapy

Clinical services include individual psychotherapy, psychological assessment, treatment planning, and testing.  Dr. Andersen’s clinical clients include males and females, both adolescents and adults. Treatment and assessment are focused on the individual with an expertise in the areas of emotional, acute and psychological trauma, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), adult chemical dependency, and family and marital relationship problems.

Psychological Evaluations

Consult (fee waived if testing or evaluation is agreed upon and completed)
Psychological interviews (clinical consults, legal/forensic cases, therapeutic need, employee or workplace accommodations e.g. fitness of duty, mental health clearance, testamentary).
Forensic and legal cases; interview, testing, and report. Each case is determined on need and case by case basis with the individual, attorney or law firm. An expert witness rate sheet is provided on request.

Neuropsychological Evaluations

A selected battery of neuro-cognitive, IQ/intelligence, academic, visual- motor, executive function, memory, and personality measures.

Psychotherapy and Consultation

Psychotherapy for adolescents and adults specific to the need of the individual.
Deposition and testimonial services provided as needed.

Billing Information

Rates will vary based on individual need as expressed by patient or ascertained by the clinician. Rates are inclusive of the interview, assessment, testing, and report. Extended consults after the provision of the report may be subject to additional fees. Rates are negotiable upon agreement by Dr. Andersen and patient.

Payment

Payments accepted include Cash, Check, Visa, Mastercard, or Venmo.

Insurance

Dr. Andersen does not accept insurance but will provide a super bill to submit for reimbursement claims.

Cancellations

24 hours notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling of appointments, otherwise the full fee will be charged.
